British Government Rules Out Second Referendum on EU
Ahead of the discussion on social reform, the PM said: “We want to be a government and a country that works for everyone, and we’ll be talking about some of the steps that we need to take in order to build that society that works for everyone”.

“Several Cabinet members made it clear that we are leaving the European Union but not leaving Europe, with a decisive view that the model we are seeking is one unique to the United Kingdom and not an off the shelf solution”, a Downing Street statement said after the cabinet meeting at Chequers, the premier’s country house northwest of London.
May’s aides say that after considering her ministers’ views, she will be the ultimate arbiter of what proposals Britain takes to divorce negotiations with the EU.
The former Labour Prime Minister said continued membership is “not probable” right now but things could change, and that the referendum verdict does not mean people may not keep having the debate.
According to The Telegraph, May has been told she has the authority to invoke it without a vote in Parliament, although she has confirmed she will not do so this eyar.
Mr Smith has said he will seek to block the deployment of Article 50 unless the Government offers a second referendum or confirms it will call a general election to approve its final Brexit deal.
Ms. May had asked ministers before the summer break to identify opportunities and challenges presented by Britain’s exit from the European Union for their respective areas.
May underscored her position before chairing a Cabinet meeting at her country retreat, Chequers.
Ten weeks after United Kingdom voters opted to leave the European Union, Prime Minister Theresa May has sat down with her Cabinet to plan how Brexit might work.
“This is breathtaking complacency from a government that got us all into this mess in the first place”.
In comments made at the start of the meeting whilst the cameras were allowed in, Mrs May said the Government was clear that “Brexit means Brexit”.
He added the British people “have the right” to alter their opinion on leaving the EU.
In other words, she is looking to retain all the perks of Britain staying within the Single Market.
One model would be akin to Norway’s relationship with the bloc albeit accepting less access to the single market in return for tighter immigration controls.
“Particularly important, obviously, for the financial services industry and I’m particularly concerned for our automotive industry which has flourished in our country – we should be hugely proud of it – and they want certainty on tariffs”.
“Our principle of no notification, no negotiations is there to protect those who stay together, not the one leaving”, said Mr Tusk.
“And therefore we must continue to work closely with our allies to defeat Daesh and to support strong, stable governance in countries around the world, particularly in countries where terrorists are trying to establish safe havens”.

“I am concerned though about any plans to curb immigration”. “It has benefited our country, especially business”.
