Hood was a graduate of Lakota West High School.

“He had that drive, he had that determination, he never forgot where he came from”.

“Accidents happen and I understand totally”, Williams said.

The army soldier, who was not identified, is in critical condition, she said in an email to Reuters. He was sent to undergo surgery immediately after for his head injury.

In a post on Facebook, the FAA said it had disabled the new features added from the upgrade until it completes its investigation.

Freeman said Hood passed away way too soon…

Army Sgt. First Class Corey Hood, 32, of Cincinnati, and a member of the Navy Leap Frogs collided in midair Saturday at the Chicago Air and Water Show.

Hood is survived by his wife, Lyndsay, the USAPT said.

“He took that mental toughness and he lived it”, Fetzer said. “Now I’ll tell you this: after he told our kids that story, it was probably the greatest practice my team has ever had”. Hood had a collision with a member of the US Navy’s Leap Frog Team, who got injured in the incidence.

“The Knights are a very close knit team and the military skydiving community is equally close; we will support Corey’s family and each other during this hard time”, Col. Matthew Weinrich, commander of the U.S. Army Parachute Team, said in a statement.

“His legs caught the tip of the roof and then he fell over”, the bystander said. “It was awful”, the newspaper quoted her as saying. A maintenance worker on the same roof called paramedics, she said.

A military parachutist has died after he struck a building during an air show display in Chicago. He was awarded several honors, including two Bronze Stars and two Meritorious Service Medals, according to the U.S. Army.

Members of the Navy team are active-duty personnel drawn from forces including the Navy SEALs. In 2010, he started jumping and has recorded over 500 freefall jumps.
