Apple set to upgrade Magic Mouse and Wireless Keyboard
This means that in order to answer questions such as “Will the Magic Mouse 2 feature Force Touch?” or “Will the new keyboard feature the design changes found on the new MacBooks?” we will have to wait for the official launch.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is believed to be working on the latest iterations of its Magic Mouse and wireless keyboard, according to filings posted to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website. 9to5Mac reports that both will boast Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy connectivity.
The updated devices were revealed in FCC papers published on Friday, with AppleInsider spotting additional documents stating that the hardware that’s been submitted for testing “represents the final version of the equipment as it will be released to the market”.
The internals of both devices will see a notable overhaul in their Bluetooth capabilities, with each device getting a bump from Bluetooth 2.1 to Bluetooth 4.2. For example, given that iOS 9 is set to bolster Bluetooth keyboard support for the iPad, it would make sense if Apple added some new iPad-focused keys to its next keyboard.

Another big change is that the AA batteries that the devices previously relied upon for power are out, replaced by built-in 3.8V Li-Ion power packs. In other words, it’s a safe bet that we’ll have new accessories come this fall.
