“Michael and I both know that had we tried to have a child and get married in the previous time we were together, it probably would not have ended pretty”. The former pageant victor, who gave birth to her Phelps’ first child, Boomer, in May, said the reception will be a “massive bash” for their friends and family. The couple split in 2011 before reconciling three years later, and the 31-year-old admitted she was no fan of Phelps during their separation. “We definitely needed that time apart to recognize that about ourselves and to appreciate one another”. And Taylor Lianne Chandler, a transgender woman who says she dated Phelps, has accused him of rampant infidelity in the period following his moderate success at the London Games and before he reunited with Johnson and delivered a crowd-pleasing Rio renaissance.
She said: ‘We both had a lot of growing up to do.
Nicole Johnson might be ready to marry Michael Phelps now, but she reveals in a new interview with Cosmopolitan that there were times in the past when she actually “loathed” the Olympic swimmer.
“We’re still learning what date night is and we’re balancing with Boomer”, she added. The rest of the planning, Johnson told Today, has been all on her, as Phelps has been, you know, winning gold medals and stuff.
But Nicole is confident that waiting to have Boomer and get married was the right decision for Michael Phelps and herself.
Johnson says Michael manages the infant’s account himself and they are cautious before posting photos to it. The day he was born, we got his [name secured on social media], just because we wanted to make sure we had that handle.
In a separate interview with Access Hollywood, Johnson said that they plan on having a small and intimate wedding, as well as “a massive bash for everyone in the States”, which leads us to believe that Phelps and Johnson are having a destination wedding.
Though Michael Phelps clearly bleeds Baltimore, and he is passing this along to Boomer, who frequently wears Ravens jerseys and Orioles t-shirts, SwimSwam says that Michael Phelps has already decided that Boomer will be attending MI for college, and so he will be a Wolverine.
