Upon hearing the news that Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, had announced the couple’s separation, she said she wasn’t surprised that her former sexting partner had once again been caught with his hands in the X-rated cookie jar.

Weiner was forced to resign his seat in Congress in 2011 after a similar sexting scandal in which he admitted to exchanging sexually explicit pictures and messages with at least six women. Last week, the group Judicial Watch released several previously undisclosed exchanges turned over by Abedin that included a 2009 message to Abedin from Band – an official at the Clinton Foundation at the time – seeking a meeting with Hillary Clinton for the crown prince of Bahrain.
Abedin’s decision to separate comes in the immediate aftermath of the The New York Post report that Weiner had sent explicit photos with his toddler son in the background to a woman.
In a comment to the Post, Weiner said he and the other woman “have been friends for some time”. She said while her husband has made some “horrible mistakes, both before he resigned from Congress and after”, she was sticking with him.
“In the case of Anthony Weiner she’s married to a guy that is uncontrolled and uncontrollable”. A documentary offering a cringe-inducing inside view of his mayoral campaign and its unraveling played in theaters earlier this year and is set to air on Showtime this fall.
Frequently by Clinton’s side, Abedin was spotted outside fundraisers for the Democratic presidential nominee on Sunday in the Hamptons, on New York’s Long Island.
The media outlet that has most aggressively targeted her is the right-wing website Breitbart News, which first uncovered Weiner’s sexting.
However, Trump also expressed concerns regarding Weiner’s proximity to highly classified information. It’s just another example of Hillary Clinton’s bad judgment. “Who knows what he learned and who he told? It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this”.
Mr Weiner had also remained in the public eye as a political commentator in recent years.
Abedin and Weiner had been distant and “heading on a path apart” for a few months, but she was reluctant to leave, according to the two sources close to the family.
Abedin has always been one of Clinton’s closest aides, matched only by Cheryl Mills in her access and relationship with the woman who could be the next president. Additionally, she was personal aide to Clinton during her successful 2000 campaign for United States Senate.
This week, she has a series of private fundraisers and an address to the American Legion’s annual convention Wednesday in Cincinnati. She appeared in various bikinis and Mr Weiner was half-dressed, showing off his stomach or his groin – and they talked about sex.
In a matter not entirely dissimilar from the compulsion that led The A.V. Club to run with the above headline rather than something “classy”, Anthony Weiner just can’t help himself.
