Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who won the Republican primary on Tuesday. Although she was up against a deal opponent in her primary, a contrast on the issue wasn’t enough to end her political career-even despite her troubles from the primary season, and her representation of the 12th most-Jewish congressional district in America.

And first-term Republican Sen. Debbie Wasserman Schultz remains very popular among her constituents, and Hillary Clinton won the district easily over Sanders as well.
Wasserman Schultz is facing a strong primary challenge Tuesday from Tim Canova, a Bernie Sanders-backed law professor who’s making his first run for office.
That despite millions of dollars spent against their candidacies by upstarts, some deep pocketed, fueled by anger at politics as usual. The former head of the Democratic National Committee, who was ousted following the release of hacked emails showing she strongly supported Hillary Clinton in the presidential race, working to undermine Sen.
In the Democratic race, with 60% of precincts reporting, Murphy had 59.7% of the vote. Even Republicans say Kirkpatrick could be a formidable candidate. “It’s more proof that voters are growing exhausted of politicians who put the demands of powerful and wealthy interests ahead of the needs of ordinary families”, said spokesperson Joe Dinkin.

And, in an nearly comical symbol of her year of troubles, she picked up a primary challenger who is somehow both a Bernie Sanders loyalist and an opponent of the Iran agreement. Schultz beat challenger Tim Canova by 13 points, picking up over 56 percent of the vote.

“History tells us that these upsets are few and far between”, Kondik said.
“We’ve really got so much grassroots energy coming our way right now”.

Florida is a competitive presidential race, with an edge to Clinton, but Rubio’s candidacy gave Republicans a shot in the arm to hold that Senate seat.
Trump visited Phoenix late Wednesday after a visit to Mexico, but McCain, who avoids talking about Trump or appearing with him, did not plan to attend the businessman’s speech on immigration. Kelli Ward – the most prominent anti-incumbent Senate primary challenger of 2016 – by a double-digit margin.

“My response to some of the things that Trump does, I don’t hesitate to speak up”, McCain said, according to the Post. “I just don’t see there being any sort of grass-roots organization for candidates like him, or for candidates who seek to espouse the benefit from what he did”. If primary voters – who tend to be further right than those who come out to vote on election day – aren’t willing to take a risk and put an untried candidate into office, it’s hard to see a path to the White House for Trump.
