James Blake Shares New Version of “Timeless” featuring Vince Staples
A week after dropping his EP Prima Donna, Vince Staples has shared a brain-bending short film that reflects on celebrity and the psychological toll of fame. His 2015 studio debut LP, which was called Summertime ’06, was met with critical acclaim, and since then Vince has been considered one of the toughest and truest in this generation of hip hop (not to mention he’s hysterical on Twitter). “You’re not a person when you make music”.

The EP features production from singer/songwriter James Blake, DJ Dahi and Chicago legend, No I.D, along with a feature from A$AP Rocky on the project’s title track.
Give the fresh new visuals a look below.
Nabil, who’s most known for directing Kanye West’s “Welcome to Heartbreak” and Frank Ocean’s “Pyramids” visuals, brought his expertise to the Long Beach rapper’s short film and delivered a visual filled with illusions and confusion.
At almost ten minutes long, the short film opens on Staples filming a music video before a director calls cut and he leaves for the night.

Blake and Staples’ partnership continues to blossom; Blake produce “War Ready” on Staples’ new EP Prima Donna.
