However, “Kingdom Hearts 3” is still being listed as an Xbox One game on the Microsoft store and the game’s Japan website.

According to Gamezone, “Kingdom Hearts 3” was first revealed in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One way back in 2013. The game may have been removed from the Japanese product page. Moreover, the continued absence of the game in the listing has also led many to believe that the game may have been dropped. Notable titles, such as Final Fantasy 13, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and even Batman: Arkham Knight have all been among the ones that have foregone an Xbox release in Japan.

On the other hand, PS4 and Xbox One players in the West should rejoice over the fact that the game will still be available on their respective consoles. Hence, the error message could be because of a glitch or because of an exclusivity agreement.

Twitter page KH Insider has reported two days ago, August 30, that the Xbox listing of Square Enix‘s “Kingdom Hearts 3” was taken down from the site for some unknown reason.

A timed agreement like Microsoft’s ties to “Rise of The Tomb Raider” may be in order, writes iTech Post.

The “Kingdom Hearts 3” game is set for another big official showcase this winter.

However, it is still likely that “Kingdom Hearts 3” will be released on the new Nintendo console. Searching for the game on Xbox Japan’s website will only bring up a link for the missing game page.

Game producer Shinji Hashimoto introduces “Kingdom Hearts 3” during the Square Enix press conference at the JW Marriott on June 16, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
