Miagza joins Dutch club Vitesse on loan
When all else fails, there’s always Chelsea B.

The 21-year-old American defender joined the Blues on a four-year deal in January from the New York Red Bulls and made two appearances last season.
U.S. global defender Matt Miazga and Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado were among the standout players to leave Chelsea on a temporary basis on deadline day, to join Vitesse Arnhem and Juventus respectively, although Cuadrado’s move will be a three-year spell that effectively ends his time at Stamford Bridge. He joins fellow loanees Lewis Baker and Nathan at the Eredivisie side.
His second match against Swansea wasn’t as impressive, with Miazga committing a mistake that led to the winning goal in the 1-0 affair.
Premier League clubs have shown interest in Miazga, but Chelsea feels he has a better chance of getting playing time at Espanyol. Hopefully he’ll get some much needed minutes in the Netherlands.

Matt Miazga, Lucas Piazon and Christian Atsu are among the latest to shipped out – for now, at least – as the club’s voracious policy of hoarding young talent continues apace.
