The Brooklyn college student senselessly stabbed to death at Cornell University was trying to get a sick friend home to bed when the pal accidentally bumped a woman’s shoulder and sparked a bloody brawl, loved ones told the Daily News on Monday.

Police did not yet have any suspects but the investigation disclosed that “several physical altercations” followed a student-organized event attended by several hundred college-aged people. Nazaire was taken to the Cayuga Medical Center, where he died.
The unidentified student was flown to Upstate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Cornell Sun.
“My deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Anthony Nazaire”, Ithaca College President Tom Rochon said.
“I have always been interested in better connecting Cornell with the City of Ithaca and thought for a long time that we could do a better job orienting students to the off campus community”, Fabrizio said.
Nazaire – a student in the school of business administration – was just a few days into his sophomore year at the school.
The other Ithaca student who was injured in the incident was treated at the hospital and released. He was on the executive board of Brothers4Brothers, a student organization that aims to empower men of color at the college. “He would hold me and tell me how good he was going to be”.
“This is a parent’s worst nightmare, to drop their son or daughter off on Wednesday and then get a call that Saturday night that such a tragedy had happened, as I said this is something you see on the news, it’s something that happens to someone else’s kids not your own”, Reid said.
It was the first homicide in Ithaca in five years.
Police say the stabbing occurred shortly before 2 a.m.at the college campus in Ithaca. “Even if it is small or minor to you it might help us crack open the case”, said Jamie Williamson, the Ithaca Police public information officer.
Ithaca College is offering counseling and support for students at the lounge in the Circles Community Building and faculty and staff has access to counselors through the college’s employee assistance program, according to Rochon’s letter.

The weapon was located and the area secured, however, the weapon used hasn’t been specified, the New York Daily News reported.
