Los Angeles police have been called to singer Chris Brown’s home. “What I do care about is you are defacing my name and my character and integrity”, he said, adding that he had done nothing wrong and criticizing police actions.

It’s unclear if the song’s release has been timed to reflect yesterday’s events or not.

“He is being transported to robbery homicide, where he will be arrested for assault with a deadly weapon”, Chris Ramirez, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Lieutenant, told reporters at a media conference.

“Chris is out and well”, Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos tweeted a short time later.

Chris is set to figure all of this out in court on September 20th. Let somebody make a f**ked up allegation about me and oh yeah, the whole f**king SWAT team.

Once at Brown’s sprawling mansion, police officers were allegedly denied entry and had to wait for a judge to approve a search warrant before going inside to search for a weapon.

According to Curran, she was in Brown’s kitchen admiring a diamond cross necklace when things went haywire. Curran later gave an interview to ABC News detailing how she feared for her life when, she says, Brown pulled a gun on her. “Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes”. He declared his innocence in a series of videos he posted on IG and his lawyer responded on Twitter, saying that the claims against his client “are demonstrably false”.

In a move that’ll surprise literally no one, Chris Brown has leveraged the publicity from his latest arrest to help his music career.

It was the latest run-in with the law for the Grammy-winning Brown, who has been in repeated legal trouble since his felony conviction in the 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, ahead of the Grammys.

In one Instagram video Brown, waving a cigarette and looking at the camera, says if and when police get the search warrant, they’ll find nothing at the home. Brown’s probation ended a year ago, so according to Slaten he can’t be “thrown in the slammer” for probation violation.
