The P7 wireless bring one of the firm’s best headphones to your ears without any irritating cables getting in the way.

Now it looks like the British audio company has finally made some changes to the P7 headphones that we’re sure some users can appreciate, and that is by cutting its cord.

As the name suggests, the P7 Wireless is simply a wireless version of the original P7, with the same sound engineering and premium aluminum and sheepskin materials, but with the added option of connecting via aptX-encoded Bluetooth to your music-playing device of choice (making them ideal for any new smartphone that might lack a headphone jack). However the only downside to the wireless model is that it will be priced higher.

This isn’t the first time Bowers & Wilkins has taken its headphones wireless – past year we reviewed the company’s P5 Wireless and found enough to like.

The P7 Wireless headphones connect via Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX, or AAC when connecting to iOS devices.

All of the premium features of the original P7 are present here as well, including changeable memory foam ear cushions.

P7 Wireless is crafted from fine materials, including aluminum and sheep leather, for performance, luxury and durability.

If you’re wondering when you’ll be able to get your hands on these, there’s no waiting involved.

The P7 Wireless, on sale as of today, will set you back $400, or £320 (we don’t have Australian price information, but that converts to roughly AU$527).
