Missing Mount Vernon Elementary School Principal Bertha Dyer found in Pennsylvania hospital
Dyer was last seen in the afternoon of Tuesday, Aug. 30 at the school in Newark. Authorities are conducting an investigation.

Dyer is the principal at the Mt. Vernon Elementary School in Newark and had last been seen on August 30 after missing several meetings at the school.
She was reported found in Philadelphia on Friday, NJ.com stated.
Franklin Township police say that Dyer was reported missing by her sister on Wednesday. Dyer was apparently last seen around 3 p.m. August 30 at the Mt. Vernon Elementary School in Newark, where she is the principal.
Dyer had been there earlier in the week preparing for the school year and talking with administrators.
Dyer was scheduled to attend a number of meetings August 31 that she missed, prompting a family friend to contact Randolph about Dyer’s whereabouts.
Dyer stands 5 feet 4 inches tall and drives a white 2011 Toyota 4Runner with New Jersey plates U79GXM.
Franklin Township police were working with state and county authorities in the investigation, Rizzo said. Anyone with information was urged to call Franklin Township police at 732-873-2300 or Detective Trevor Wilson at 732-873-5533, extension 3161.
