Why Samsung recalls Galaxy Note 7
The company states that, as of September 1, they have counted 35 global cases of potentially faulty batteries and are now conducting a thorough investigation alongside suppliers to learn more. “However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have delayed sales of the Galaxy Note7 in India”, a Samsung India spokesperson said in a statement.

Samsung said it plans to replace all devices worldwide in the coming weeks, but hasn’t said what those who have a phone should do in the meantime.
Samsung is recalling its latest high-end smartphone after a number of reports citing overheating and explosions. The company stated that it would replace all Galaxy Note 7 phones with new ones due to reports surfaced that its battery catches fire while charging.
Samsung stated that the batteries for its products are provided by multiple suppliers, though the company has refused to name the manufacturer responsible for the faulty Galaxy Note 7 batteries. CNN says preparations to recall the phones are expected to take around two weeks.
Samsung has announced a recall of its newest flagship handset, the Galaxy Note7, after reports of “exploding” batteries were found. The company has said consumers who return their Note 7 will receive a replacement swiftly whether you purchased it today or the day it was released.
Samsung has said China is not affected by the sales suspension, because it used a battery made by another supplier for the Note 7 sold there.
Samsung said that it acknowledges the market inconvenience it may cause.
