Judge Rinder looking for ‘authentic meanness’ in Strictly partner

POLITICIAN-TURNED-PRANCER Ed Balls has admitted wife Yvette Cooper thinks he will be a dud when it comes to the romantic dance of the rumba.

Anastacia has promised to give her fee from Strictly Come Dancing to a breast cancer charity.

Anastacia shot to worldwide fame in 2000 with her debut song I’m Outta Love, which she performed on the Strictly Blackpool special a year ago.

However, former shadow chancellor Ed Balls and Birds Of A Feather star Lesley Joseph are the outsiders.

He said: “I would like to commit to the rumba, but Yvette says I’m not allowed to do it because it may be appalling. So it’s going to be a struggle but I’m really looking forward to it”.

William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: “Ed Balls and Lesley Joseph are nearly friendless with just 10 people backing either one of them, and the biggest bets have been £10 on Balls and £2 on Joseph”.

The couple screamed together: “We can all have a go!”

Show presenter Claudia Winkleman said that when she and co-host Tess Daly heard the list of celebrities taking part this year, Balls was the name that drew the biggest reaction from her.

Asked who she’d like to dance with on the show, the brunette beauty spotted hunky professional Aljaz Skorjanec and winked at him before she said: “He’d be quite fun”.

Meanwhile, former popstar and wife of footballer Jamie Redknapp, Louise Redknapp, claimed to be anxious about her dancing days being behind her.

She said she was after someone who is ” just going to kick my butt basically, I will try my very, very best and I will work hard but I need someone who is going to go, “just get on with it – there’s no can’t, just do it”.
