Although Coach Jason Garrett did not rule Romo out for the Cowboys’ Week 1 game against the New York Giants, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora is reporting that he is expected to miss 6-10 weeks. Romo said, “I told coach afterwards, that’s one you don’t want to take when someone’s on top of you when you’re sliding and he crunches you”.

After Romo broke a bone in his back on the third play of the third preseason game at Seattle, Jones is ready to roll with Prescott. The Cowboys have their bye on October 23, Week 7 of the regular season.

Eagles 33, Colts 23: Sam Bradford continues making his pitch to be Philadelphia’s starting quarterback. Luckily for Cowboys fans, Dallas’ front office seems to have found a diamond in the fourth-round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Dallas Cowboys open their season two weeks from today.

Romo will likely need an epidural to play, and a return by mid-season is reportedly a “best-case-scenario”, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“I think the biggest thing for all of us is focus on doing our jobs”, Garrett said. They are about to be a problem again for both Romo and the Cowboys. “In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose to participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem”.

After a few minutes on the ground, Romo eventually walked off the field and tried to return to the game, but Garrett prevented his return for precautionary reasons. Is it over if Prescott plays well enough?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admitted that Thursday’s incident that had Romo hit from behind gave them a scare as health issues have been a major concern. “Like I said, keeping each other lifted and building real chemistry”. He also has two rushing touchdowns and 53 yards on the ground on seven carries.
