Four stabbed at Children’s Day Parade of Notting Hill Carnival
These included four alleged sexual offences, 74 drugs offences, 24 counts of possession of offensive weapons, nine counts of actual bodily harm, two of grievous bodily harm, two alleged thefts and nine counts of public disorder.

As revellers recover from Notting Hill Carnival, which took place this bank holiday weekend, rubbish from the street party is making its way to waste recovery sites across London to be recycled or used to generate green energy. At least 105 people were arrested on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said. Some individuals were arrested for more than one offence and 26 knives were seized.
The carnival – celebrating its 50th anniversary – has featured 60 bands and 38 sound systems.
About 240 people were arrested over the two-day festival.
Police presence is not always appreciated at the event, with the 2008 carnival ending in a street riot as a result, after authorities seized various risky weapons such as a Taser gun.
A man also approached officers at Kensal Rise tube station, telling them that he had been stabbed, before leaving the scene.
Ambulance and first aid crews treated more than 1,000 people, mostly for alcohol-related injuries.
Arrest figures were also up from 407 in 2015, 21 of whom were held for assaulting police.
Commander Dave Musker, who led the policing operation this year, said that the new ban on drugs previously known as legal highs had boosted the arrest tally, the highest in more than a decade.
A parade of floats and brightly-dressed performers snaked their way through the streets of west London as part of the Caribbean-inspired celebration.

A 15-year-old was stabbed in Wornington Road and a 14-year-old was arrested for GBH.
