Lawyer for Chris Brown: no guns, drugs found in house search
MORE: Chris Brown arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, released on $250K bailAdmitting custody is now a concern, Geragos discussed a key piece of evidence he was trying to authenticate: a text message allegedly sent by Curran indicating a plan to set Brown up. Geragos said the singer was completely cooperative at all times with police officers, and also says his 2-year-old daughter, Royalty, was not present at the time. “There were no drugs, that I’m aware, that were found in that house whatsoever”.

An attorney for Chris Brown said Friday that a woman who has accused the R&B singer of pointing a gun at her was clearly bent on setting him up and that police found no weapons at the singer’s home.
“[Police] were specifically looking for a specific type of jewelry – that was not found”, Geragos said, also claiming that none of the six witnesses supported Curran’s story.
He said Curran was asked to leave the gathering because “she was acting in an erratic manner”. If proven, Geragos said he’ll call for a criminal investigation. Exactly what happened is, we were called in the morning. If someone calls 911 and says you pulled a gun on them in your house, are the police coming to creat a bunker at the end of your drive way for 11 hours to wait for a search warrant? “Lol come get me”, Curran reportedly texted an acquaintance named Safari, shortly after she was kicked out of Brown’s house. On Friday, Geragos reiterated Brown’s initial reaction to him, “Nothing has happened and this is a set-up”.
Before his arrest, Brown pleaded his innocence in three videos he posted on Instagram. “But it is interesting to me that when somebody has an incident that supposedly you are frightened to death and you’re scared, that the first place you go is to the (gossip website) TMZ, as opposed to the hospital, your psychiatrist or maybe even your lawyer”.
On Thursday, Geragos similarly questioned Curran’s story, telling the Los Angeles Times in a statement, “It has become apparent that the allegations are not just false but fabricated”. “I hope they can provide protection…”

He added: “Given his history, I think that was the prudent thing to do”.
