The retired National Football League star was arrested for driving under the influence after a crash on Florida’s Turnpike, Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Mark Wysocky told the Palm Beach Post.

Per WPTV in West Palm Beach, Taylor’s arrest took place around 5:20 p.m. ET after he hit a motorhome and sideswiped a patrol vehicle while changing lanes.

Police took Taylor to the Palm Beach County Jail early Saturday. There were no injuries reported.

Officials say the Bentley hit the patrol car’s mirror, but there was no significant damage to the vehicle. He detailed issues of cocaine abuse and multiple stints in rehab in his autobiography, which was released in 2004.

The 57-year-old Taylor was a 10-time first-team All-Pro, three-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time Super Bowl champion and 1986 NFL MVP.
