The 27-year-old enjoyed a prolific season in La Liga in 2015/16 where he scored 19 goals in all competitions, including 17 in the league.

“You can see the players are world class just by the way they pass the ball”.

The two Manchester clubs have been the major players during the transfer window, with Manchester United and Manchester City each reported to have spent close to 150 million pounds on new players.

That being said, it seems like Perez is somewhat of a late bloomer like Jamie Vardy and if that’s the case, the Arsenal fans are in for a treat.

Arsenal beat Watford 3-1 on Saturday to claim their first win of the EPL season, and are poised to significantly strengthen their squad before Wednesday’s transfer deadline. “We have taken a great player”.

Elsewhere, Werder Bremen are closing in on a deal for Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry, the club’s sporting director has confirmed.

Also on Tuesday, Arsenal defender Calum Chambers signed for Premier League rivals Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.
