It’s certainly been a while since Kanu hung up his boots and the Nigerian cleared showed his age with a hilarious gaffe at the beginning of Saturday’s Legends game between Arsenal and Milan.

Kanu’s first two goals came off his head, but he competed his hat-trick by stroking in this second-half penalty with his size-15 right foot.
Kanu bagged a famous hat-trick in a 3-2 comeback win for Arsenal against Chelsea in 1999 at Stamford Bridge.
Wenger and the rest of the Arsenal bench saw the amusing side as the likes of Freddie Ljungberg, Robert Pires and Emmanuel Petit tried to root out the rogue starter, but it was left to midfielder Gilberto Silva to escort a clearly frustrated Kanu back to the bench.
Jens Lehmann, who started on the bench behind David Seaman, while former Italy and Milan star Christian Vieri scored a double for the visitors.
While there is no doubting Costacurta’s love for Milan, it has now been revealed by the Italian legend that he also had a soft spot for Premier League giants Arsenal.
Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg and Kolo Toure all featured for the home side while Wenger and Fabio Capello took charge of the respective squads in a match which is expected to raise £1 million for the Arsenal Foundation’s mission to build pitches for children in London, Jordan and Somalia.
“From Kanu’s hat-trick, to Ray Parlour’s brief cameo and Nigel Winterburn and Paolo Di Canio’s re-enactment of their 1998 “clash”, this had something for everyone, Arsenal.com reports”.
