Bill Clinton used $16M taxpayer money to support foundation

The investigation revealed nothing illegal but it showed how the Clinton family managed to blur the lines between their foundation and the US Department of State. “The Associated Press is reporting the State Department plans now to release all of her detailed planning schedules from then by mid-October”.

Most of this money was given by the Swedish Postcode Lottery and the Dutch Postcode Lottery, according to the Clinton Foundation Insamlingsstiftelse’s website. Band did not explain in the email exchange why he and the others needed the diplomatic passports, and Abedin did not ask. So far Judicial Watch has uncovered 228 new emails not part of the 55,000 Clinton sent to the department. Fitton previously accused Clinton of withholding the documents because they contradicted her 2009 vow to sever ties with the foundation during her time as secretary of state.

Band’s associate was not immediately clear from the emails.

“Thestaff of former presidents are not included among those eligible to be issued a diplomatic passport”, the official said.

“Need get me/justy and jd dip passports”, Band wrote to Abedin on July 27, 2009, referring to passports for himself and two other aides to Bill Clinton, Justin Cooper and John Davidson.

“Judicial Watch is now attacking State Department officials and the 42nd President of the United States for rescuing two American journalists from North Korea”, said Clinton campaign spokesman Josh Schwerin. “In May, she held a “$100,000-a-plate fundraiser” for Hillary.

The exchange about the passport, between Band and Huma Abedin, who was then a top State Department aide to Hillary Clinton, was included in a set of more than 500 pages of emails made public by Judicial Watch, a conservative group that sued for their release.

Richard Cohen, in his rush to admit wrongdoing in his August 30 op-ed, “Bribes turned into gifts”, tried to tag Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with the same thing.

“Apparently he is head of us china business council”.

Dow Chemical has also pledged to spend at least $45 million through the Clinton Global Initiative, a wing of the Clinton Foundation that coordinates charitable commitments, though none of those funds went to CGI. Sidney Blumenthal emailed Hillary, asking her about a Clinton Global Initiative meeting in Ireland.

“My work as secretary of State was not influenced by any outside forces”. Hillary Clinton forwarded the email to Abedin, State Department Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills and Band, writing, “I think this is a good idea and see no conflict”.

Another email exchange occurred between billionaire businesswoman Lynn Forester de Rothschild to Hillary about an interview with Parade magazine for journalist Les Gelb.

Because the US did not recognize North Korea diplomatically, the planning for the visit occurred through private channels, with Band organizing flights to and from on the planes of Clinton Foundation donors, according to The Washington Post.

The revelations about Gelb became public a year ago, although the former New York Times reporter told The Washington Post that he never agreed to give veto power over the story, which he described as a “boring account of what she did that day”, not a puff piece.
