Reliance Jio to finally launch 4G on Monday
Reliance Jio also offers that we get the “one-time special benefit” of no monthly rental until December 31, 2016. Every plan has unlimited night time (2 am -5 am) data usage, free voice calls, and no roaming charges. Domestic roaming charges will not apply in Jio tariffs. The new carrier offers 4G LTE data for just 75 cents/1GB, along with unlimited free voice calls, Mashable reports.

The existing top telcos (Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea) have already undertaken pre-emptive price cuts by offering higher data volumes for similar pricing to retain their customers.
Shares in India’s largest wireless carrier Bharti Airtel Ltd fell as much as 9.1 percent, while third-biggest Idea Cellular slid up to 9.3 percent by midday.
“We expect and hope that following commencement of services by Jio, the incumbent operators would fulfil their obligations to provide adequate interconnection and mobile number portability facility”, it said.
The new offer seems to be injustice compared to Preview Offer, but seeing from the company’s perspective, it was bound to happen as offering truly unlimited data for potential 100 million users would take quite a toll on system servers.
Jio has introduced a simple tariff structure with only 10 main plans, created to fit every budget, as against the 22,000 tariff plans prevailing in the country today.
“Customers should pay for only one service, either voice or data”. It will be a real game-changer as far as online content is concerned.
Here are the ten plans of Reliance Jio, many were busy counting the tariff schemes on the screen, and sure enough there were only seven there.
Under these plans (except Rs 149 plan), subscribers will also have wifi access (with varied amounts of usage) from JioNet Hotspots. “The era of paying for voice calls is ending”, Ambani said.
For data, he set an aggressive rate of 5 paise per MB or Rs 50 per GB, and the more data you use, the lower the rate, he said.

It looks like Reliance Jio officials split the tariff chart into two slides. According to Ambani’s presentation, data rates per GB are around USD 30 in Japan, USD 18 in Korea, USD 15 in China, USD 7.5 in Spain and USD 6 in South Africa. Jio now has a strength of 15,000 employees.
