Prime Minister strengthens commercial ties with China during successful visit to Shanghai

Farmers across Canada breathed a sigh of relief as China promised an extension on Thursday’s fast-approaching deadline to introduce rule changes on Canadian canola shipments – a dispute that had threatened to inflict damage on the multibillion-dollar agricultural sector.

In addition to Beijing, the Prime Minister will travel to Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Hong Kong as part of his official visit to China.
