Petr Cech wasn’t happy despite Watford win

“We are a new team gelling again, these first four or five games won’t define our season”.

Arsene Wenger guided Arsenal to their first Premier League win of the season with victory at Watford.

Badly needing a result, Arsenal showed little sign of nerves but were helped by an out-of-sorts first-half display from Watford as the Gunners ran out 3-1 winners on Saturday at Vicarage Road.

We shot ourselves in the foot in the first game and were under huge pressure. “It’s ‘Do you have the money to spend it?'”, he said.

The defender, who is moving to the club from Valencia, played with Ozil and Per Mertesacker for the national team.

But there were no complaints as Arsenal took the lead in the ninth minute when Santi Cazorla stroked home a penalty after Nordin Amrabat elbowed Alexis Sanchez. Firstly Alexis Sanchez bundled home a Walcott cross to make it 2-0, before Özil headed in a third right on half-time after linking up with Sanchez once more.

He has been capped 12 times by Germany and scored against Ukraine at Euro 2016.

Watford: Watford has only one injury problem with Djedje missing with hamstring problem.

But despite the three points, Cech was not pleased the hosts were allowed to pull one back in the second half through new signing Roberto Pereyra.

His goal came after Etienne Capoue’s fierce strike was blocked, and Pereyra pounced and finished with his left foot.

We have bought two players Mustafi and Perez.

Arsene Wenger has compared Granit Xhaka to a former Arsenal star. We can take a lot of positives from the second half though.

“I said before the season started that we will get a different Theo Walcott this year”.

“We have bought two players – Mustafi and Perez”. We had to work very hard to get signings done. “We have not got any plans for anyone else now”. According to the Official Premier League website, he has a 100% tackle success in the three appearances he made in the league so far.

Watford gifted Arsenal the opener with just nine minutes played and were perhaps fortunate not to be reduced to 10 men in the process.

The new signing will be on global duty with Germany this week, but will join up with his new teammates next week ahead of what will probably be his Premier League debut against Southampton on September 10th.
