No release date is set for the stand-alone Batman film, which Affleck is also directing.

Deathstoke might not be the only Batman villain to appear in Affleck’s movie.

The internet was whipped up into a frenzy on August 29 after Ben Affleck posted a short video clip to his Twitter feed. In the 27-second video, the iconic assassin can be seen walking toward the camera. If I had to guess, it’s a cameo role and probably someone Batman will be facing early in the film.

Yesterday, Ben Affleck tweeted footage from London, where Justice League is now filming.

Deathstroke was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez and first appeared in DC Comic “The New Teen Titans” #2 in 1980.

Deathstroke is a great name, by the way.

Ben Affleck dropped a major teaser on Tuesday when he released a video with no sound that featured the first onscreen introduction of famed DC villain Deathstroke.

The 44-year-old actor is now filming Justice League, the followup flick to his widely panned Batman v Superman, but made a decision to drop some MAJOR news regarding the villain in his own Batman movie! He has fought with Batman several times in the comics. There were many rumors that he would be part of Suicide Squad and that Scott Eastwood would play him. The character started as the archenemy of Teen Titans and was later developed as an adversary of other heroes such as Batman in the DC universe.

However, even though Deathstroke’s debut remains shrouded in mystery, the simple fact that he may be showing up in an upcoming DC film is an exciting possibility.
