While Tropical Storm Hermine had little effect on the region, the Red Cross of Eastern North Carolina assists with disasters daily – the most common being home fires. Red Cross volunteers will collect cash donations at all of the stadium gates before the game.
Last month, the state of Wisconsin deployed seventy-seven responders to states in need.
The Green Bay Packers announced Friday they are teaming with Lambeau Field College Classic sponsor Carmex and Delaware North to donate $55,000 to the American Red Cross in Louisiana.
Through Saturday morning at 9 a.m., the Red Cross had assisted more than 20 families who were displaced from their homes due to major damage from Hermine.
