Pakistan seeking red corner notice is pure desperation: Baloch activist

Rejecting China’s interference in Balochistan over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the activists said Islamabad wants to build an economic corridor for China on the dead bodies of Baloch people.

Indiahas created “an East Pakistanlike situation” in Pakistan’s restive southwestern province of Balochistanby helping the separatists active in the resource- rich tribal region, former interior minister Rehman Malikhas alleged.

Considered as a part of China’s One Belt, One Road initiative, the CPEC covers Balochistan and Sindh provinces and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

According to details already submitted by Pakistan police to the interior ministry, Mr Bugti has been accused of plotting against Pakistan and running a banned organization, the Baloch Republican Party.

Rehman said the role of India in the unrest in Balochistan “is not a hidden story”, and the previous PPP government had taken up the issue of Balochistan with India.

Sought the help of Indian media in exposing Pakistan.

The BRP activist said Pakistan is committing genocide and deterring the peaceful struggle of Baloch nationals through different extremist groups like Lashkar-e-Toiba’s Hafiz Saeed.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri said in a press conference that if Baloch leader Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti assemble even five or three men, then he will acknowledge the existence of Baloch freedom movement.

Brahamdagh’s grandfather Akbar Bugti was killed in an army operation in Balochistan in 2006, which angered several young Balochs who took up arms. Bugti through Interpol in order to completely silence Baloch voice.

Five separate cases under sections 120, 121, 123, and 353 of Pakistan Penal Code have been registered against Baloch separatist leaders, including Brahamdagh, Harbiyar Marri and Banyuk Karima Baloch, for allegedly supporting Modi’s statements. “Families wait for the justice throughout life, so we hope every country support our cause just like India that took up Baloch Issue and highlight them on global level”, said a Baloch activist.

Brahamdagh had appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks on Balochistan. “I strongly condemn these statements of PM Modi who is not respecting the people of Pakistan but praising known anti-Pakistan elements aiming to ignite violence in Balochistan”, he added.
