Delhi’s ex-women’s minister arrested on rape charge
The Delhi police had booked Sandeep Kumar under rape charges (376) and are taking legal opinion whether to book the minister in some other charges. She said that her husband had been “falsely implicated” in the sex tape scandal.

“My husband is innocent”.
In his blog written for a TV channel, Ashutosh had referred to the alleged affairs of Nehru and Gandhi while seeking to defend Kumar.
She alleged that Kumar had offered her a spiked drink and when she fell unconscious, she was taken to his house adjacent to the office and raped. What Kumar has done is completely wrong and he has been suspended from primary membership of the party.
Sandeep, who represents Sultanpur Majra assembly constituency, has claimed that he was paying the price for being a dalit.
Kumar was the former Social Welfare and Women and Child Development Minister.
According to the complaint filed at the Sultanpuri police station, the incident happened when the woman approached Kumar, who was a minister at the time, for help in getting a ration card.
Kumar was removed from the council of ministers on August 31 by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after the CD purportedly showing him in compromising position with a woman surfaced.
On Sunday evening, he was produced before a duty magistrate at the Rohini court, and police sought custody of him for 14 days. “We will prefer to die than tolerate wrongdoings”, he said in a video message to AAP members, explaining the minister’s removal.
Singh said the second woman seen in the video has yet to be identified and efforts are being made to contact her for her testimony.
Meanwhile Delhi’s deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that a probe was going on against Kumar as the matter is with a disciplinary committee. I belong to a poor family, so I know the facts are distorted.
Accepting that it was a mistake, Kumar told investigators that he never misused the video.
Sources said the MLA spent the entire night inside the lock-up before being questioned Sunday morning.

Commenting on misdeeds of Sandeep Kumar, Kejriwal said that his former Cabinet colleague has cheated the people of Delhi and the party.
