New Acer Windows 10 PCs announced at IFA
It comes in thicker than the Swift 7, at 14.58mm, but is proportionally less dense at 1.36 kg. Its 21in display has a 2,560×1,080 resolution – ideal for taking full advantage of its dual GTX 1080 graphic chips in SLI – as well as G-Sync support, and it also has a 7th generation Intel Core processor.

The new range runs Windows 10, and comes with 360-degree hinges, along with Continuum, that enables each device to be used as either a notebook or tablet.
The refreshed Predator 15 and 17 gaming laptops will be available in North America in September with prices starting at $1,699; and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €1,799.
Acer also introduced a collection of other laptops in the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics under the Swift product line with varying price tags to cater to different markets. Acer also has this machine charging via a USB C port, similar to the recently discontinued Chromebook Pixel 2.
The Spin 5 and Spin 3 will also be available in October in the United States and Europe. The notebook is 14.58mm thick and weighs just 1.36Kg.
Acer has already started the IFA 2016 on a strong note with its latest Swift 7 notebook. You’ll get one hour less battery life than the model above it too, which at 12 hours is still not bad.
The Predator 21 X also includes Tobii eye-tracking technology for an all-new way to control your games. The Swift 1 is the cheapest of the bunch, starting at $249. Acer says the Spin 1 is “ideal for students or as a second computer”.
However, the new, lesser, Predator Z271T, available in October, might give an indication of what to expect.

“Enter, the first gaming laptop with a 21” curved G-SYNC™ display, powered with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 in SLI and a five fan cooling system with a few metal AeroBlades to boot. The Predator 21 X is unlikely to see much use as a laptop, instead being installed as a permanent workstation in confined areas where a desktop wouldn’t be practical. The Spin 1, meanwhile, will be available in the U.S. by December starting at $249 and Europe in November, where it starts at €299.
