Sam Bradford traded to Minnesota Vikings for 1st and 4th round picks
Quarterback Sam Bradford is headed to Minnesota in exchange for a pair of draft picks, including the Vikings’ 2017 first rounder.

The Minnesota Vikings have acquired QB Sam Bradford via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles, pending a physical.
The Vikings found themselves in desperate need of a quarterback after Teddy Bridgewater was lost for the season. The Vikings have to give up their first round pick next season as well as a fourth round pick according to the reported terms of the trade.
Bradford’s departure from the Eagles means Chase Daniel now will be the Eagles’ starting quarterback. Carson Wentz, who was selected with the No. 2 overall pick, missed the last three preseason games after breaking his ribs.
Before making the move, the Eagles didn’t have a first-round pick for 2017 when the draft will be held in Philadelphia. He regretted the decision after the Eagles traded several draft picks to select Wentz, and Bradford skipped some voluntary workouts in the offseason.
After reportedly informing McLeod Bethel-Thompson of his release Saturday, the Eagles are down to two quarterbacks, so it seems they’ll either change their mind or add a different quarterback soon. Bradford will reunite with Pat Shurmur in Minnesota, which comes to town in October to face the Eagles – how ironic.
“If there’s a good thing about learning a new offense every year, it’s that I’m familiar with this process and how it goes I guess”, Bradford said.

Hill will likely start the opener on September 11 at Tennessee, though.
