Nebraska coach Amy Williams’ first conference game as head coach will be against the Northwestern Wildcats at Pinnacle Bank Arena on December 28.

If he opts to transfer within the Big Ten, Hunt pointed out, Mitchell will be required to sit out the 2016 season and lose a year of eligibility.

The University of Iowa will open league play on the road at IL on December 28, before returning home to entertain Nebraska on New Year’s Eve on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Boilermakers will play home-and-home against three opponents, host five teams for single-game plays and head out on the road five times for single-game foes.

The Lady Lions’ home conference slate includes games against Iowa (Jan. 3), Wisconsin (Jan. 16), Nebraska (Jan. 19), Illinois (Jan. 29), Minnesota (Feb. 8), Purdue (Feb. 11) and Michigan (Feb. 26).

The Hawkeyes will play Indiana, Michigan, Penn State, Purdue and Ohio State only on the road during the upcoming season. They host Ohio State on January 26 and finish the regular season at Maryland on February 26. It marks the second time in the last five seasons that Purdue has opened and closed conference play with the same opponent, playing IL in the Big Ten opener and conference regular season finale in 2012-13.
