Eagles may start rookie QB Wentz
Washington opted to keep rookie Nate Sudfeld, a sixth-round draft pick out of IN, as its third quarterback.

And most fans seem to think the Eagles made the right move by targeting Minnesota for a trade after the Vikings lost starting QB Teddy Bridgewater for the season earlier this week.
The biggest surprise, however, was certainly the trade that sent Bradford to the Vikings.
The Vikings haven’t said anything about who will be starting this season, but unless Bradford can learn the plays and get comfortable with his receivers in the next few days, count on Shaun Hill starting.
The Eagles’ now have a 1st round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft which will be here in Philadelphia in April.
The Eagles receive a first-round pick in 2017 and a fourth-rounder in 2018.
“Our job is to try to build something great, and I also think it would be a discredit to our veteran players and really our whole football team to discount them and the effort that they’ve given us”, Roseman said in comments distributed by the team. With Bradford no longer in Philly, that means the starting quarterback for the Eagles this season is either going to be Chase Daniel or Carson Wentz, two players who have started a combined two games in their National Football League careers.
The trade leaves Chase Daniel and Carson Wentz as the quarterbacks in Philadelphia with reports indicating Wentz will be the starter as long as he is recovered from the rib injury he suffered in the team’s first preseason game.
Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Bradford would be the Eagles’ starter this season.
Bradford played with St. Louis from 2010-14 before spending last season with the Eagles.
First player selected in the 2010 draft, Bradford had happened to the Eagles in a trade with the St. Louis Rams previous year. In a Chip Kelly-driven offense that did not fit Bradford well, that production stands out. That two-year, $35 million contract the team gave Bradford in February doesn’t look so insane after getting a first-round pick back for him. Philadelphia spent the No. 2 overall draft pick on quarterback Carson Wentz, and removing Bradford frees the Eagles to play their rookie this season if they choose without worrying about Bradford’s large contract. As it turns out, the plan for Wentz has changed course drastically after Sam Bradford was traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Shurmur was Philadelphia’s offensive coordinator in 2015 and as well as Bradford’s rookie season with the Rams.
The Vikings, who finished 11-5 to win the NFC North previous year, are more poised for a Super Bowl run now.
But Roseman did say the choice to trade Bradford was more about the value they got from Minnesota than it was a sign of Wentz’s increased preparedness.
The Eagles were 7-9 last season and would have been in a rebuilding mode in a division other than the diluted NFC East.
Before Thursday night’s preseason finale, Spielman insisted the Vikings were not desperate and said they would not make a move that would “hurt us going into the future”.

The Eagles got back a first-round back for next year, but they also put themselves in a position that could go from awkward to terrible at the drop of a football.
