Factional war of worst kind seems to be out in open in the Aam Admi Party as Sanjay Singh, a senior leader of the party threatened to sue his own MLA in Delhi for the charge of “exploiting” women to promise ticket to contest the Punjab assembly polls.
In the middle of a sex scandal that has led to the sacking and arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Sandeep Kumar in Delhi, a lawmaker has written an explosive letter to Arvind Kejriwal alleging misdemeanors by more party leaders. Am meeting people in Chandigarh… “Now the situation is getting indefensible and disgraceful. Justifications by Ashutosh are not as per acceptable value systems”, he further added.
Speaking to the media after the sensational charges leveled against him by the Bijwasan MLA Colonel (retd) Devinder Sahrawat, Sanjay Singh announced to file a defamation case against Sehrawat.
However, the party dismissed the allegations made by the 50-year-old Sehrawat saying that he has no proofs to substantiate his claims and the party will not react to baseless allegations. “Ministers to important post holders are enveloped in serious allegations of debauchery”.
Following the sex scandal, Kejriwal had asserted that he will prefer to die than stray from the principle of AAP, adding the same rule will apply to himself and all other senior leaders of the party.
Speaking to Indian Express, Sehrawat said: “I was perturbed by it all”.
