Nemechek earns controversial win over Custer in Canada
In a last bid attempt to edge himself into the race lead, John Hunter Nemecheck literally ran adversary Cole Custer off the track, their two vehicles sliding across the grass and past the checkered flag.

Custer wrestled Nemechek to the ground before being dragged clear of him, and Custer’s crew chief also had to be kept separated as he tried to confront the race victor – with Nascar eventually declaring that the original result would stand.
For the first time in its history, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will use a Chase format, with the championship to be decided among eight drivers over the final seven races of the year.
So Nemechek increased the intensity and flat ran Custer off the road.
President Obama sets 2017 pay raise for federal employees.
Nemechek attempted to celebrate the win but Nascar officials refused to give him the chequered flag after launching an investigation into the finish. “Rubbin’ is racin'”, he said.
“If I had been in the same spot, he would have done the same thing to me to get a win. You have to do everything you can to get a win here”.
Now, less than a hundred yards from the finish line, Nemechek shoves Custer’s vehicle all the way over onto the grass and against the wall.
“We had a really fast truck”. It was a great opportunity for us to get into the Chase – and he took it away from us.
“He hit me going into the second-to-last corner, and he hit me again”. I don’t know what else to do. I guess we’ll see if his performance today will help or hurt that quest.
It was Nemechek’s second series win of the season, while Custer is still seeking his first victory of the year. But Custer’s truck wouldn’t make it across the finish line first.
Custer, who led 39 laps on the day, was ahead entering the final turns, but Nemechek used his truck to push Custer’s into the fence.
Roaring to Nemechek, who still had his helmet on at the time, Custer threw the fellow Chevrolet driver to the ground as the two did their best to imitate the Connor McGregor v. Nate Diaz UFC fight or a traditional Canadian hockey brawl. Their trucks were off the pavement when they reached the finish line.
