Mike Pence to release tax returns

In an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press,” set to air Sunday, the IN governor said he will release his returns next week.

Donald Trump says that he had a “thoughtful and substantive” conversation with Mexico’s president on Wednesday as he kicks off a long-awaited speech on immigration. And every presidential nominee since 1976 has released some form of a tax return or at least tax summary.

When Todd noted that the audit is not likely to be finished before the November election, Pence demurred.

“Down the road, at the right time, after we’ve put first things first, then we can consider how we resolve these other issues”, Pence said.

Donald Trump and Mike Pence’s stance on immigration reform, according to what Chuck Todd from Meet The Press could get from him, was that it would be a entirely new system, and their crackdown on immigration will be executed in a new way under that system.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, Mitt Romney released some of his returns, but was criticized for not releasing his returns going ten years back. That decision was made by Trump and his attorneys.

Pence’s statement brings more attention to the fact that his running mate hasn’t released his tax returns yet. “And if you talk to younger people, the next generation of Americans, they completely reject the kinds of positions that he’s taking”.

Trump has said throughout his campaign that he can not release his tax returns, as they are being audited. It’s nice that Pence is finally going to release his, but not too many people care a whole lot when Trump’s are still nowhere to be seen. This occurred during an introduction of Hillary Clinton at a campaign rally. “Pence reiterated that on Sunday, along with a promise to release his own tax returns―an awkward situation, really, if Trump isn’t willing to show the public any of his own”.

“So Governor, what was your reaction to the F.B.I. notice that got released?” asked Chuck Todd.
