Sony slashes prices of premium Xperia X, Z5 smartphones
While the new Compact model isn’t exactly value for money, especially when compared to the Xperia Z5 Compact, it’s still a welcome improvement to whatever Sony has been offering consumers since the demise of the Xperia Z series.

The rear of the Xperia XZ is made from a high purity “alkaleido” metal, which provides the smartphone with a rather unique and shiny finish.
Xperia Z5 features a 5.5 inch display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
Processing is provided by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and the device comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage. If you need some extra storage there is also a microSD card slot which supports up to 256 GB cards.
But enough about that – the Xperia XZ is arguably all about the cameras. The corners are also a bit sharper than the Xperia X, as well as more rounded edges. The smartphone features a rear-facing 23Mp camera with triple image sensing technology. “Xperia X offers 1/2.3” 23MP camera, 24mm wide Sony’s award-winning G Lens, 13 MP Extra high sensitivity wide angle front camera with Sony Exmor RS makes it a ideal companion to click selfies under any light conditions.
However, it isn’t without its flaws, as we found out. Availability of the Xperia XZ for the USA market is set on October, with official pricing yet to be revealed.
With all that tech under the bonnet, the Xperia XZ needs a decent battery to power it – and we think it does. The battery is a 2900 mAh one that includes the QuickCharge feature and it should be enough to last for a day.

Both the phones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and incorporates Sony’s smart battery management to deliver up to two days battery life as claimed by the company.
