Colin Kaepernick Cops Threaten To Pull Officers From 49ers Games
In Thursday’s game against the San Diego Chargers, Kaepernick took a knee during the Anthem, joined by teammate Eric Reid; however, he did stand and applaud as military members and veterans were honored as part of the Chargers’ “Salute to Service” campaign.

Police in Santa Clara threaten to boycott working San Francisco 49ers home games because of Colin Kaepernick’s expressed hostility to law enforcement.
The idea of kneeling came from Kaepernick’s discussion with ex-Green Beret and former Seattle Seahawk Nate Boyer.
That was actually the third time Kaepernick had sat during the anthem, with the first two times coming when he was wearing street clothes and not participating in the game.
Kaepernick vowed to continue to not stand during the national anthem until he is satisfied with the changes made toward ending racial oppression in the US, a position he reiterated after Thursday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
Thursday night’s game in San Diego was billed as “military night”, a tribute to the hundreds of thousands of military personnel who live in a city well known for its patriotism and military bases.
“We have a lot of issues in this country that we need to deal with”, Kaepernick said.
Kaepernick made it clear that he’s not against the military.
The police letter said it was concerned about images that emerged showing Kaepernick sporting “socks with the image of a pig wearing a police hat during practices at the training camp in Santa Clara”, saying that the socks were a “derogatory image”.
“I think what I did was taken out of context and spun a different way”.
Therefore, AFAis asking those concerned to sign the petition calling on the National Football League to take disciplinary action against Kaepernick for his disrespectful actions while engaged in official National Football League activities. Kaepernick invited Boyer to be his guest and stand by his side during the anthem on San Francisco’s sideline.
“I’ve been very blessed to be in this position and make the kind of money I do, and I have to help these people”, he said.
Kaepernick is facing both praise and reproach for his controversial method of protest.
Kaepernick is more representative of the American spirit than those who want to prevent him from expressing his freedom of speech.
