Chris Devismes said he was restricted because of “inappropriate content on Twitter on 27 July” but claimed the only material was stating that he wasn’t a supporter of Corbyn’s challenger, Owen Smith.

Within the Labour party however, Corbyn remains resolutely popular and is set to increase his mandate in the upcoming leadership contest.
In an interview with the Guardian, the Labour leader said he hoped party officials were not working against him but could not rule out the possibility. In 2011 Labour MPs backed Miliband’s proposal to abolish the annual elections by 196 votes to 41, but five years later the extent of opposition to Corbyn in the PLP means there is a good chance of that decision being reversed.
A few hours later Mr Corbyn’s spokesman appeared to up the ante, saying that the Labour leader also wanted more internal democracy, but that he was interested in going further.
“How the shadow cabinet is made up is one part of the debate, including whether part of it should be elected by MPs, by members or by conference. Any review also needs to take account of the need to represent regions and nations”.
Mr Smith dismissed proposals for a basic income guarantee, which shadow chancellor John McDonnell has said he is ready to consider for the next Labour manifesto.
The Labour leader said the agency would attract the “best minds from the United Kingdom and across the world” and promised to double government spending on research and development in the energy sector. However, for the new rule to take effect it would also have to be approved by the national executive committtee (NEC), where Mr Corbyn has more support, and by the party conference. “We can not mistake the mass rallies that Jeremy has gathered for the mass movement we need to gather of 12 or 13 million people voting Labour in order to stop this becoming reality”. “I’m doing my best to make a difference”.
‘I wrote a report to try and civilise discourse in the Labour party.
Ms Chakrabarti told BBC 1’s Andrew Marr show: “It’s not been the summer of love in the Labour Party or in British politics more generally”.

The unveiling of the new plans follow Corbyn’s pledge last month to expand United Kingdom clean tech industries, increase clean energy investment and preserve European Union environmental regulations in the wake of Brexit as part of a 10-point plan to “rebuild and transform Britain”. “I didn’t foresee how bad it would be, but I knew enough about Labour history to be anxious and the outcome has been much worse than I expected”, he said.
