Manchester City’s Hart to join Torino on loan

Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart completed a loan move to Torino, while Juan Cuadrado returned to Juventus on a three-year loan deal and Luis Alberto joined Lazio from Liverpool on a permanent basis.

Hart, who has made the most Premier League appearances for the club he has been with for a decade, completed a season-long loan move to Torino.

Hart, 29, lost his place to Willy Caballero at the start of the season and new coach Pep Guardiola’s decision to sign Claudio Bravo from Barcelona effectively relegated the England worldwide to third choice.

The England global, 29, arrives in Turin after being frozen out at City by new manager Pep Guardiola.

The arrival of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona made Hart the third choice keeper and consequently he has been on the lookout for a new destination.

He is expected to take the gloves from Daniele Padelli, who has failed to impress coach Sinisa Mihajlovic since he arrived at the club several months after his sacking by AC Milan last season.

“Suddenly my career has undergone a change, I interpreted it as a sign of destiny”, he told the Torino website.

England manager Sam Allardyce allowed Hart time away from preparations for Sunday’s World Cup qualifier in Slovakia to resolve his club future before the transfer deadline.

“I hope to live the same emotions this year”.

Bony tweeted: “It’s a new day and I look forward to a new exciting challenge”.

Due to a combination of global call-ups, injuries, illness and poor form, the Ivory Coast forward never really got going at Eastlands.

At Eastlands, a host of players were saying their goodbyes as City boss Pep Guardiola wielded the axe.

City have now confirmed the deal, with Hart unable to leave the club until the end of this season and no escape route in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old told Sky Sports News: “It is a good club with good players and I am happy to join the team”.

A combination of worldwide call-ups, injuries, illness, poor form and the presence of Sergio Aguero prevented the Ivory Coast striker from establishing himself at City.

Two other players also seemed likely to move on with defender Eliaquim Mangala and playmaker Samir Nasri in discussions with Valencia and Sevilla respectively.
