Hughie Fury to face Andy Ruiz on Fury-Klitschko II undercard
“And the winner will be mandatory challenger for whoever is the victor in the main event in Manchester as the bout is a WBO final eliminator”.

Veteran English boxing promoter Frank Warren said he is expecting an explosive performance from WBA (Unified), WBO, IBO, The Ring, and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury when he faces Wladimir Klitschko in their much-awaited rematch, scheduled for October 29 at the Manchester Arena.
In Warren’s defense, the hard-hitting Ruiz is expected to walk right over Lawrence next Saturday night but in a summer in which we’ve seen cab drivers defeat former world champions, it may have been wise to wait until next weekend to announce the fight. He took his first real step up in March, when he beat Fred Kassi by split decision in London. A fight between the both would never happen and so we would be left with a similar situation as the Klitschko brothers, who reigned side by side for many years, each holding different versions of the heavyweight championships.
‘This is a big step up for him at such a young age but one he can certainly win, ‘ Warren wrote in his column for the Daily Star.
A planned press conference was cancelled on Monday but Fury’s uncle and trainer says the talking is nearly over.
A win for Fury would create something of a dilemma in the Fury household because being No1 challenger for the WBO world heavyweight title, would put him up against cousin Tyson, who now holds the belt. So it would nearly likely result in Tyson vacating the belt for Hughie to fight someone else for it.
Fury is still undefeated in his professional career with a record of 25 wins from 25 fights, winning 18 via knockout. He was on tablets for the problem but they were making him exhausted and lethargic.
October 29 has been muted as the new date for some time but is yet to be rummer stamped.
It’s a very, very good fight between young heavyweights in need of a signature win.

It now appears though as if the rematch will go ahead in October at the Manchester Arena after Peter Fury released details of an agreement via Twitter.
