Chella Choi leads LPGA Manulife Classic in Canada
Rachel Rohanna had a hard time at the turn Friday in the second round of the Manulife LPGA Classic, leading her to miss the cut at the Manulife LPGA Classic in Cambridge, Ontario. Suzann Pettersen, of Norway, tees off on the 18th hole in the final round at the Manulife LPGA Classic golf tournament in Cambridge, Ontario, Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016.

If Day 3 of the Manulife LPGA Classic taught us anything, it’s that Canadian women’s golf is in a pretty solid place these days.
First-round leader Chella Choi had an up-and-down day carding four bogeys on the day and sits in a tie for eighth. 5, 6, and 8, and eagled the par-5 ninth by reaching the green in two shots and sinking a 15-foot putt. “I’ve been playing well lately, my putting was good today”.
Mozo was 7 under before running into trouble on the par-4 18th.
In-form Thai star Ariya Jutanugarn is lurking menacingly however heading into the weekend, shooting a four-under-par 68 which left her four off the lead at six under.
However, four birdies from her next five holes saw her regain momentum, birdieing another five and making just one bogey on her way to a five-under-par 67. “I was like, ‘Awe, should still be OK”. “They’re always smiling no matter how I do, so it’s always nice to have that little comfort”. And we couldn’t see it.
Rohanna was disappointed with her finish, but not dismayed in her LPGA regular season finale. The course is great.
“I putted much better today, so it was good to see some putts go in”, Ko said.
Top-ranked Lydia Ko and 2015 victor Suzann Pettersen also were 14 under.
US Open champion Brittany Lang, second past year at Whistle Bear after winning the inaugural event in 2012 at Grey Silo, was six-under after a 71.
Even though Henderson’s not the top player at the tournament, not even the low Canadian, the world No. 3 is by far the most popular, with hundreds of fans following her.
“The wind really picked up on the back nine”. I would say it was just maybe five swings this week that cost me about 8-9 shots, which would have put me right in there. I just really tried to have a good time with my caddie, Danny (Sharp).
Choi has concentrated on improving her driving. She is at 14 under 202.
“I’ve been close”, Alex said of playing in the final group on Saturday.

Hamilton’s Alena Sharp (70) was the low Canadian for the second day in a row at 5 under to tie for 12th.
