When measuring the characteristic “avoidance of similarity” which describes whether people like having the same products as others, Android Users avoided similarity more than iPhone users.
Let’s face it, most people are more or less surgically attached to their smartphones these days – look around any restaurant or bar and you’ll see as many people paying attention to their phones as to each other.

It may come as little surprise that iPhone owners were found to be more shallow and interested in status, while Android owners don’t mind being different and standing out from the crowd.
