But while most models now being offered today come with pretty middle-range specs, the new Samsung flip phone bundles quite high-end features.
On the rear, you’ll find a 16-megapixel camera with a wide f/1.9 aperture; the front cam, located above the inner screen, is a 5-megapixel shooter. Additionally, the flip phone is also going to be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 CPU and is going to be backed up by 2 GB of RAM. The company’s China listing also revealed the device supports China Mobile or China Unicom 4G networks. The smartphone has 16GB internal storage along with microSD card support for expansion up to 128GB.
Maybe Samsung will change its mind and release the phone on other markets as well.
All of the typical smartphone radios are in the LTE clamshell as well: Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. Besides, the smartphone packs a 2,020mAh battery that is claimed to deliver 189 hours of standby time on a single charge and comes with a heart rate sensor. The company has included features in the device that go missing in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5, such as expandable memory and dual-sim support.

It’s highly unlikely that Samsung will be offering the phone outside the confines of China, as in the Western world clamshells have fallen out of fashion.
