The Right Name With The Wrong Design — Microsoft Surface Phone
A few of the high-end components that the rumor mill has suggested for the Microsoft Surface Phone are: the next-generation Intel processor, Kaby Lake; a massive random access memory (RAM) of 8 gigabytes (GB); and the next current-generation build of Microsoft’s operating system, the Windows 10 Redstone. And as the year is almost about to end, many rumors going online suggesting that the Microsoft Surface Phone will be unveiled during the IFA 2016. Fortunately, there are numerous reliable sources which heavily expect the software tech giant to make a formal announcement during the upcoming IFA 2016 Event.

Many are speculating that the Microsoft Surface Phone will be unveiled at the ongoing IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2016, but it is likely that only the Microsoft Band 3 will be the only one there. Microsoft would supposedly hold an IFA press event and this would mean that they will bring forth other things as well. Even though both devices are yet to be formally announced by their respective manufacturers, knowledgeable tech analysts have already tipped the upcoming Surface Book 2 to outperform the next generation MacBook Pro.
Microsoft’s Surface Phone entry variant is likely to come with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM, which is superfluity for the average smartphone user. Some claim the devices will be powered by an Intel Atom 64-bit CPU, Snapdragon 821 or the Snapdragon 830. However, the most exorbitant option – and probably with the least possibility of turning out to be true – is the 500GB variant.

The three Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 variants are expected to come packed in an aluminum and magnesium body featuring a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, a 20-megapixel Carl Zeiss rear camera coupled with Surface Pen functionality, a fingerprint reader, accelerometer, gyro, compass, a barometer and proximity sensors. Continuum support, liquid cooling technology as well as USB Type-C connectivity are also said to be on board. The price range of the Microsoft Surface Phones 2016 is expected to remain between $700-$1100.
