In his letter, the Prime Minister mentioned that Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) can not be compared to the grim and tragic situation of human rights in Indian-Occupied Kashmir.

The letter called Modi’s remarks on Balochistan and PoK as unwarranted and in complete contravention of the United Nations charter. Being in India will be better for my people, ” he said requesting India to provide opportunities for the Baloch people trying to escape Pakistan army led genocide.

“So far, as the CPEC is concerned, there also our position has been made clear to both the parties concerned that it passes through Indian sovereign territory under Pakistan’s illegal occupation and when we say PoK it is exactly that Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir”.

A Quetta datelined report carried by the Pakistan state run news agency-Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Monday quoted the Balochistan Chief Minister as saying that an open letter would also be sent to the United Nations Secretary-General on the subject.

“We will continue to extend political and diplomatic to Kashmiris till justice is done to the people of Kashmir and the brutalities against them are ended”, he said. “Balochi people are facing genocide by the Pakistani army in Balochistan”.

The lineage of Brahumdagh Bugti can neither be ignored by Pakistan nor India.

Hailing Interpol as an global “credible” organisation, he said, “It knows that Pakistan has misused Interpol in the past to prosecute its political opponents and human rights activists from Balochistan and Baloch nationalists”.

Bugti stated that ever since Prime Minister Modi raised the issue of Baloch atrocities from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi, Pakistan has been rattled.

He insisted that as Pakistan’s destructive role in Kashmir and its direct involvement in terrorist attacks in Mumbai and Pathankot have been clearly exposed India must intervene just as it had played a significant role in freeing Bangladesh.

“He said with the completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and making Gwadar Port completely functional would boost local and national economy, besides bringing an economic revolution in the region”, the agency reported. Responding to a question about the trilateral set up formed by the United States, India and Afghanistan, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said yesterday in a news briefing, “We are not sure what the need of this platform is”.

As India looks to globally isolate Pakistan, a decision in favour of granting Bugti asylum could hurt the power-centre of Rawalpindi more than Islamabad.
