After many incidents of Samsung Note 7 setting ablaze, there were rumors and speculations that Samsung will do a worldwide recall of its products and now its official Samsung is recalling the Note 7.

“We will facilitate the replacement of your device with a new Note 7 as soon as Samsung is able to provide the replacement units”, Yoly Crisanto, head of Globe’s Corporate Communications, said in a statement.
“It will cost us so much it makes my heart ache”. Customers can take their Galaxy Note 7 to an AT&T store, which will then allow them to exchange the unit for any other smartphone.
Samsung made a decision to suspend the sales of its latest flagship smartphone on Friday after reports of 35 explosions that resulted to a fault being attributed to its batteries surfaced, thereby exploding while charging. However, the spending doesn’t stop here since most of the Galaxy Note 7 devices that will be produced in September will be used for the replacement program.
Samsung UK announced that “for UK customers who already have Galaxy Note 7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks”.
As Korean electronics giant Samsung chose to suspend production of Note 7 because of its exploding batteries and announced the global call back of its latest flagship device, Apple just might have the last laugh.
The worst part is that after an excellent run with the super popular Galaxy S7 phones, Samsung is damaging its reputation, and this happens just days before Apple releases the iPhone 7. “In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a battery cell issue.” said Samsung India spokesperson. It estimated that about 24 out of 1 million units may have a faulty battery.

Oculus urges Note 7 owners to contact Samsung and replace their smartphones before using them together with the Gear VR. Samsung has identified the affected inventory and stopped sales and shipments of those devices.
