Clinton turns coughing fit into joke about Trump
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is effectively tied with Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos national poll.

Mr Trump and his running mate Mike Pence, Indiana’s governor, have stressed for months that Mrs Clinton should face journalists directly about her use of a private email account while she was secretary of state, a scandal which has dogged her for more than a year.
The new plane has Clinton’s slogan “Stronger Together” on the side and her “H” logo on the tail.
“Donald Trump has stated very clearly throughout his campaign that he will deport everyone who is undocumented, something that was reinforced in his speech in Arizona last Wednesday”, Ms Clinton Campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement as top officials from the Trump Campaign in various interviews indicated that not all illegal immigrants might be deported.
No Republican candidate has ever won the White House without winning OH, and right now Trump is slightly behind Clinton there with 40.7 per cent of the prospective votes to her 44 per cent, according to the Real Clear PoliticsWeb site, based on voter surveys. “I’ve seen that”, Trump said.
ABC News together with our partners at SSRS survey research firm asked our online opinion panel if they believed Trump would be able to get Mexico to pay for building a wall along the US southern border.
“He came out saying one thing and the Mexican president contradicted him nearly immediately”, said Clinton, referring to Trump’s claim that he did not discuss payment for the border wall, a centerpiece of his presidential campaign.
Surveys showed a significant narrowing of the gap between Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
Clinton and her top aides sit in the front quarter of the plane, followed by advance and communications staff, and then Secret Service detail travels in the middle of the plane.
“A lot of people, myself included, have lost betting against Donald Trump”, Christie said.
It also showed support for Trump among Republicans jumping six points over the past two weeks, giving him 78 per cent backing in his own party.
“Doing all of the kinds of things we’ve talked about, the eVerify system for employers in this country”, Mr Pence said. “I’ve been just waiting for this moment”, said Clinton, perhaps in gentle jest, to media in the back of her plane.
Upon departing, he took questions from reporters on his plane, saying that job creation will be his big campaign message for the day and that he looks forward to the upcoming debates with Clinton.
While Trump naturally has an edge as the Republican nominee the GOP has carried the state in 11 of the past 12 elections Johnson could steal enough votes away to allow Clinton to snag the state’s 11 Electoral College votes.
Hillary Clinton is traveling aboard a new Boeing 737 campaign plane for the first time this Labor Day. She has not held a formal question-and-answer session with reporters since one in Iowa in early December.

There’s plenty that can happen between Labor Day and Election Day in the 2016 race for president. Behind Clinton, running mate Tim Kaine clapped while the audience laughed in response.
