Five people were taken to the hospital during Nocturnal Wonderland, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Vehicles were searched before entering campgrounds and like at all festivals, guests’ bags were searched for drugs, weapons and other banned items.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors considered banning the raves at the county-owned facility earlier this year, but ultimately chose to allow the festivals to continue.
The cop was not injured in the smash, the Sheriff’s county department confirmed.
One sheriff’s deputy was also injured during an arrest Friday evening.
Five people were transported to hospitals for various medical reasons, including one attendee who sustained trauma to his face following an assault, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
On Sept. 4, a total of 176 people were arrested for various violations during the day.
The legions of ravers booked at the event included those taken into custody for alleged offenses including being under 18, possessing drugs, selling drugs, assault, battery and indecent exposure.
The weekend festival continued on Sunday, ending in the early hours of Monday morning although police have not released arrest figures for the final day of the festival.
Another two attendees were hospitalized over the weekend.
Similar music festivals have brought a rash of deaths of young concertgoers, often from drug overdoses.

The event is put on by Insomniac Events, a Live Nation subsidiary, which leases the amphitheater from the county.
