When asked what could stop him from attending, the Republican nominee joked, “Hurricanes, natural disaster”. I think you have an obligation to the debates.
“‘I look forward to the debates, ” Trump told reporters, saying he regards them as “an important element of what we’re doing”.
Trump said that he has not done mock sessions and that nobody is playing Hillary Clinton during his debate prep.
The third and final presidential debate will be held at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas on October 19 and will be hosted by Fox News’s Chris Wallace.
The first debate between the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees is scheduled to take place on Monday Sept. 26.
To prepare for his face-offs with Clinton, Trump said, “I think I’m doing the same thing” that worked for him during the primaries – prepping, but not over-preparing.
On Oct. 9, the second presidential debate will be held at Washington University in St. Louis and will be hosted by Martha Raddatz of ABC News and Anderson Cooper of CNN. Fox’s Chris Wallace will moderate the third debate on October 19. “I’ve seen that”, Trump said. It’s up to the other person to catch them on that.
“I like them”, Trump said. “Obviously, I did well in the debates”.
In early August the Clinton campaign formally announced that Clinton would attend all three sessions and challenged Trump to make the same commitment.
